It's been one heck of a year, but we are all together in the same boat. All of us are experiencing massive changes in our work lives, home, financial stability, all while trying to go with some kind of flow and figure out what the future is supposed to look like. What kind of permanent adjustments are we going to suffer here? I know personally, as a single woman, owning a business, with employess, a home, all the life stuff we have to maintain, it has been a pinch shocking. Even the slow down is shocking at first. It is a time of some fear over what diminished quality of life we have, of a summer with no real connection or activity that looks the same. We are at the beginning of a new way of living. And at the beginning, that is the place you find hope.
As a team we have been blessed to work with our insured family during these difficult times to lower, or place their policy premiums on hold so they could survive temporary unemployement. We've been able to share stress with other businesses on how we maintain our staffing when sales are down. We have stopped to mourn the loss of some of the businesses we insure.
Mostly, we found our humanity. We got to spend more time with our clients. Talk with them about real life issues. Understand the dynamics of their lives and their families in ways we never have. We have been able to help when they needed it most. Just those simple things have changed the face of who we are willing to be as an agency in the future. Client service, customer service, it is built around relationships and what we've found is that we have built valuable relationships with our clients. And this pandemic, it is where the rubber meets the road for our humanity.
Our motto is, Your Insurance Reimagined. We had no idea at the end of the year when we coined our new fun phrase and hashtag, that it would become the way we did business this year. We reimagined ourselves, our family lives, or safety, how we open an office back up, or if we even do that. We've had to reimagine who we are as a business and as people.
Rigth now our industry is being challenged on coverage issues as well. There is no pandemic coverage on business policies, or on worker's compensation policies. There is no civil riot or commotion coverage on home and business policies. We are seeing all of this put to the test and how that coverage changes through societal and or court mandate is yet to be fully realized. But it will change the policies in some way in the future. And we will keep up with all of those changes for our insured family.
Yes we never saw this coming, but we are still in this together. I say let's learn together, hold tight together, and the way forward is only together. In the meantime, our team, our families, we are thinking of yours. We are here to help in any way we can. We are grateful for you, for you trusting us with your business all these years.
Wishing you a week full of joy, laughter, and good health.
